10CrMo9-10 Low Alloyed Steel Boiler Tubes
10CrMo9-10 is a low-alloy heat-resistant steel widely used in high-temperature, high-pressure applications such as boilers, pressure vessels, and power plant piping. Its properties come mainly from its chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo) content, which improve strength and creep resistance at elevated temperatures.

Key Element Functions
  • Chromium (around 2–2.5%) - Improves oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Increases hardenability and strength.
  • Molybdenum (around 1%) - Significantly improves high-temperature strength and creep resistance. Enhances resistance to softening at elevated temperatures.
  • Low carbon (0.08–0.15%) - Balances strength with weldability. Helps avoid excessive hardness and cracking in the heat-affected zone when welding.
  • Controlled P and S (very low) - Better toughness and reduced risk of hot cracking.
