Product Description
Alloy 600 Alloy Steel Forged Flange
Alloy 600 (also known as Inconel 600 or UNS N06600) is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy. Its tightly controlled chemical composition provides excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.
Chemical Composition
Element Composition (Weight %)
Nickel (Ni) 72.0% minimum
Chromium (Cr) 14.0 – 17.0%
Iron (Fe) 6.0 – 10.0%
Carbon (C) up to 0.15%
Manganese (Mn) up to 1.00%
Silicon (Si) up to 0.50%
Sulfur (S) up to 0.015%
Copper (Cu) up to 0.50%
Composition Benefits
  • High Nickel + Chromium: Provides excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking and oxidation at high temperatures
  • Iron (6–10% range): Balances cost, strength, and thermal stability
  • Tight elemental limits: Maintains weldability, toughness, and resistance to intergranular corrosion
Note: For exact values required for design or certification, always refer to recognized standards (ASTM B166/B167, ASME, or material certificates), as small variations are permitted depending on product form and specification.
